  • Review and improvement of on-going development projects in park management and visitor services
  • Production of park management and zoning plans emphasizing public involvement
  • Conceptual planning and design of community-based ecotourism activities
  • Community-based ecolodge location and conceptual design
  • Introduction and improvement of sustainable tourism principles and activities 
  • Assisting local conservation NGOs in community or protected area projects
  • Improving relations between private or public tourism institutions and public agencies managing protected areas
  • Advising small tourism operators on ecotourism itineraries for western markets
  • Advising indigenous communities on ecotourism options 
  • Development of guided and unguided nature trails in protected areas
  • Being resource person in study tour design and implementation for park planning and tourism
  • Rapid development of simple, low-cost protected area and tourism project proposals
  • Island and marine parks: their planning, resource management and tourism
